Macala “Kala” Lacy (she/they)

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher

Welcome! My name is Macala "Kala" Lacy and I strive to make therapy accessible and relevant for marginalized communities. I specialize in helping Black queer women, femmes, and nonbinary folks develop holistic coping strategies for complex identity trauma. I work with adults, teens (14-17), and couples interested in healing their relationship with themselves and others.

As an EMDR trained yoga psychotherapist, I integrate mindful awareness and science to support your mental health. My practice is rooted in considering you as a whole person in mind, body, spirit, culture, and in relationship to community. Together we will collaborate on a goal, learn practical techniques to improve your wellbeing, and progress at your pace towards growth.

You can learn more about myself and my practice at The Well Healing, a culturally compassionate resource dedicated to providing trauma-informed wellness services for communities and individuals experiencing marginalization and oppression. I have also been published and featured in several wellness-centered platforms such as Women’s Health Magazine, Radiant Health Magazine, Black Girl Yoga, Voyage LA Magazine, and the Downtown Long Beach Alliance for more.
